Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to learn about me, and support my passion! I'm grateful to have you here. Creating art is such an important part of my life. It's how I find my peace. My hope in you being here is that my paintings can trigger something lovely and inspiring for you as well.
I am a self-trained, multi-media, abstract painter based out of Cincinnati, Ohio who 'moonlights' as a full time therapist by day. My licensure/training are as an LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker), and I've worked with kids in Psychiatric Inpatient units and in the Emergency Room for the past 7 years.
Art and therapy are one in the same for me. I strongly believe you can't make headway in either without first cracking yourself open and owning your vulnerabilities. It's taken me a long time to get there myself. I'm a recovering perfectionist, and my brain tends to go towards anxiety and self doubt before anything else. Abstract art called out to me LOUDLY for that same reason. To me, an abstract painting is true freedom. It's wholly dependent on the perception of the individual viewing it, and to me that meant that I literally could not fail or get it wrong. The beauty of art for me is in the creation, connection, and joy you get from letting go. Once you know you have that skill to choose to do so whenever you please, you are truly free.
